How Custom Commissions Work

Custom commissions are currently closed. The next window to request a piece will open this summer. Join our mailing list and/or follow us on instagram if you’d like a reminder when submissions reopen.

Commissions in the upcoming round will begin at $4,000. Not all submissions are selected as we can only accept a limited number of projects each cycle. Once underway, turnaround is typically around 6 months.

If you're focus is on finding a special gemstone, we do offer custom gemstone sourcing for our existing pieces. Find out more here.

Below is an overview of how our commission process works.

1. Request Form Submission

When our custom commission request form becomes available, we encourage you to take your time filling it out. It’s designed to gather the details we need to understand your vision and determine whether we’re able to take on the project.

The form will ask for information about the piece you’re hoping to create, including the type of jewelry, preferred metal, gemstone preferences, general design direction, finish, sizing, engraving, budget, timeline, and any meaningful references or details you’d like us to consider.

If you are unsure how to answer a question or think you may need to leave a section blank, feel free to reach out first. We are happy to help you complete it.

Please note that if most of the form is left blank, we may not have enough information to move forward.

2. Project Discussion

Please allow a couple of weeks for a response, as we review all submissions and are not able to take on every request. Once we have reviewed your form, if it feels like a good fit, we will reach out to talk through the details and expectations of your project.

After we confirm that we are aligned on the design project, we will provide a contract outlining the scope and terms of the commission for you to review and sign.

3. Stone Options Review

If the project is centered around a gemstone, we’ll begin sourcing options once the design direction is established.

During the gemstone search, you will receive one to four stone options at a time, each with a quote. Once you’ve reviewed the options, you can let us know which stone(s) feels right.

If you share a price range you’d like to stay within, we’ll do our best to present options at the lower, middle, and higher ends of that range so you can see how pricing shifts depending on the stone. This isn’t always possible, as pricing can vary significantly based on color and overall quality.

4. Deposit

Once the design direction is established, a 50% deposit is required to move forward with the project and secure any necessary gemstones.

We are not able to purchase or hold stones without this deposit, as many are one-of-a-kind and can be claimed quickly. Because of this, it can be helpful to plan ahead for this stage so you’re ready to proceed once a stone is selected. In some cases, timing matters and we may need to act quickly to secure a stone before it becomes unavailable.

Once the deposit is received, we will continue into the design and production process.

5. Production

Turnaround for custom pieces is typically 6+ months from the time a project is confirmed and underway. Each piece is developed in stages—design, sourcing, casting, stone setting, and finishing—and timelines can vary depending on the complexity of the design and availability of materials.

We are not able to offer expedited processing for custom work.

You are welcome to reach out at any time during production if you would like an update or have questions.

6. Completion & Shipping

Once your piece is complete, the remaining 50% balance will be due prior to shipment.

All pieces are shipped fully insured via express services with signature required.

Once your piece ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Thank you for your Consideration!

We truly love working on custom pieces and bringing these projects to life, and we’re grateful that you’re considering working with us.

Thank you for taking the time to read through everything—we hope it gives you a clear sense of the process and helps you decide whether a custom commission feels right for you.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out.
