Process

Each Ecclesia piece begins by hand in wax. Every design is individually carved, allowing the form to develop with intention before it ever becomes metal.

From there, the piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax process. The original wax model is encased, burned out, and replaced with molten metal, capturing every detail of the carving.

Once cast, each piece is finished, set, and refined by hand in our studio.

Designs in our permanent collection are developed into molds for future castings. For one-of-a-kind pieces, no molds are made, and once complete, the metal exists as a singular object.
